A low, damp basement became the room the family uses most. We lowered the floor by 30 cm, waterproofed from the inside and enlarged two windows to legal egress size.
What we changed
Oak built-ins wrap the media wall, a new three-piece bathroom sits under the stairs, and the mechanical room was rebuilt to give the furnace proper clearance.
